Review | Oasis
So, went to this little spot over in Apugujung for a photo shoot and had brunch inside a place called Oasis. Cozy little hidden gem that you’d have to find wiggling around the maze like streets that spawns off from the main street. If you know where Designer’s Club is, it’s near there. I swear, I have never been so lost I’ll post up a map later~ But for now, enjoy the photos~ Had the Banana French Toast which was just mouth watering! A thick sweet toast with a croissant like crust. So flaky and just the right amount of crisp, it just mixes in so well with the caramelized banana that’s just been cooked ever so slightly that you get that candy like carmel glazed on top of the raw banana. It’s really good. One of the best French toasts I’ve ever had. And the egg on the toast was mmmmmm~ So moist and juicy, that’s right folks, eggs can be juicy! ^^ With that, my main meal was the Chicken Avocado Sandwich! Comes with a side of salad that actually isn’t drowning in dressing. I don’t like eating my salads with dressing but, it was light enough that I enjoyed every bite of my salad. The sandwich however might be a disappointment for some. The flavour isn’t really there if you’re looking for the “American style” kind of salty, with sauces kind of sandwich. The flavours are so pure. The chicken was grilled with no added flavours. They add a mash avocado in there, so smooth like it’s been whipped~ But I think I just got lucky with the right kind of avocado that day. There are also little olives and a light mayo-like spread that just accents the moist, well cooked chicken. The bread came out lightly toasted on the outside and warm on the inside where it makes the bread innards soft and fluffy. Having no added sauces or flavours, it really brought out each ingredient and kind of featured it in your mouth. I definitely recommend this place, and it’s a good date spot too! Take note fellas, or ladies, make your man take you here. It’s all good and fun to go out with the girls but c’mon, places like these are rare and to enjoy with a loved one. And if you don’t have anyone, you can always take me ;)
I don’t want to sound like a snob but I can’t really place 4 stars at a place unless I absolutely know it’s 4 star worthy, that takes a lifetime. But this place, definitely worth an honorary 4 stars. For now, this place get’s my highest rating yet, 3.8 Stars. The service was great too, they looked bored standing there but they’re just waiting on you~ I should also add that during this cold season, they bring out warm water for you with a slice of orange. And folks, fruits are way better in Corea. You think fruits are sweet in America? Come to Asia. Also, thinking of getting the Americano with your meal? The shots are good, it’s strong enough to compliment your meal, especially afterwards. Good eats, GET ON IT!
